Llandrindod Wells Carnival
Llandrindod Wells Carnival returned in 2025 with its biggest turnout to date, drawing thousands of people into the town for a full day of celebrations. Despite a damp start to the morning, the weather improved and the event quickly filled with colour, noise and activity. The highlight of the day was the carnival parade, led by 14 floats alongside fancy dress entries, bringing the streets to life as crowds lined the route to watch.
Throughout the day there was plenty to see and do, including circus performers and hands-on circus workshops, a climbing wall, bouncy castles, games and a range of performances, including Zumba. The Wye Valley Axe Team proved a popular attraction with axe racing competitions, while local businesses, community groups and organisations such as the Air Cadets hosted stalls across the site. Food stalls and family-friendly activities kept the atmosphere lively throughout the afternoon.
The celebrations continued into the evening with live music, rounding off a successful carnival that showcased the strong community spirit of Llandrindod Wells and marked a record-breaking year for the event.
Myself (Vikki) and Ben joined in the fun this year along with our son Zak, representing Llandrindod Air Cadets, who amazed everyone with his incredible memory. When challenged to name random country flags from a box containing all 195 flags of the world, Zak identified every single one without a mistake! An impressive achievement!
A big well done to Zak – and hats off to the Carnival organisers for putting on another fantastic event this year!
