Abbeycwmhir - Ruins

The ruined Cistercian Monastery at Abbey Cwmhir is one of the top historic sites in mid-Wales.  The ruins are set in a valley in the village of Abbeycwmhir.

Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, the last Welsh prince of native descent is thought to be buried near the alter in the nave of the Abbey in 1282.
